7 Great Reasons to Board Your Pet With Us

June 15, 2016

Pets are more than just furry little roommates: they’re friends and companions, and an important part of your household. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to take your pet with you everywhere. Sooner or later, you’ll likely need to board your pet. We are here to help! At Live Oak Veterinary Hospital, your Carteret County, NC kennel and veterinary hospital, we offer both excellent veterinary care and pet boarding.

Separate AC

One thing that sets our boarding apart from many average kennels is the fact that our pet hotel has a separate HVAC system, which keeps fresh air flowing to our furry charges. This system is completely independent of the one we have in the animal hospital. This ensures that your pet is protected from any airborne germs or viruses sick pets that are visiting the clinic may carry.

Tail Wags

If you have a dog, rest assured that your pooch will get plenty of exercise and playtime during his stay. We understand that activity is crucial to Fido’s health and well-being. We walk our canine guests daily, and take time to play with them.

Purrs

Cats have their own play area, which is separate from Fido’s. This helps keep our feline friends feeling safe and comfy. Fluffy may very well spend much of her vacation napping!

TLC

We are happy to care for animals with special needs, and can administer medicine as needed. Our staff is also trained to quickly spot any signs of illness that could indicate a medical issue, so if your four-legged pal does get sick, we’ll be able to address the issue immediately.

Sanitation

Our guests are treated with the best of care! First and foremost, we house all pets in their own private cages. We make sure that animals in our care always have clean water, and we sanitize all cages regularly to keep our pet hotel clean and germ-free. We also provide clean bedding, which is washed and changed frequently.

Free Baths

If your pet is going to stay with us for more than three days, we’ll give your little (or not so little) animal companion a bath. You’ll be able to enjoy cuddling with a clean, fresh-smelling pet!

Great Communication

We are more than happy to offer advice on preparing your pet for boarding. We also make sure to answer all questions and concerns before you leave town, so you can enjoy your time away without worrying about your animal companion.
