Live Oak Veterinary Hospital is excited to offer our canine (puppy, adult, senior, large breed) and feline (kitten, adult/senior) plans to all pet parents. It’s one of the ways we want to say thank you!
No. Unlike traditional pet insurance, this primary care plan is designed to help pet parents afford primary wellness care, as well as provide a pet Flexible Spend Allowance. Normally, the majority of your annual expected pet health expenses are not covered by pet insurance. A primary care plan also has no breed, age, or preexisting condition restrictions! This is a subscription-based plan designed by Live Oak Veterinary Hospital and allows you to budget for your pet’s expenses via a monthly primary care subscription plan.
PetCentric Health partners with vets to provide a solution that allows pet parents to pay for their pet’s care through a monthly subscription offering. Each plan is designed and customized by vets for their unique pet parents and includes what they recommend for a year of healthcare! This ensures pets receive a holistic primary care foundation to increase the likelihood of better health outcomes over time. It also allows you to have better financial control and predictability regarding your pet’s healthcare spend.
You can use any product your vet recommends for your pet for flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. And you can still get reimbursed! Simply pay in-hospital or buy via Live Oak’s online pharmacy, and then submit your receipt for reimbursement! We reimburse preventatives purchased outside of the plan at the plan rate.
Live Oak Veterinary Hospital offers Kitten and Adult/Senior Feline plans, and Puppy, Adult, Senior, and Large Breed Canine plans, encompassing all your cat’s or dog’s preventative care annual needs, as well as Pet Flexible Spend Allowance for additional needs like dental cleaning, sick visits and more. If you don’t need your Flexible Spend Allowance during your plan year, 75% of the unused balance rolls over to the next plan year.

Pamela O.2023-08-02 Dr Lloyd and the staff are amazing. They ensure that our visits are pleasant and all of our concerns are addressed. H Y.2022-09-23 I had been pretty traumatized by the vet I went to about my elderly cat being sick. I looked for somewhere else to go, and my fiancé explained the situation with the staff. We got an appointment in just a few hours from our call. The staff was very warm and friendly. They knew of our previous trauma from our newly ex-vet, so they were extra considerate to make sure we and my cat were as comfortable as possible and checked in often to reassure us. We were able to turn our fear and anxiety down a bit. I felt comfortable with them handling my baby. They brought a cute pink blanket to wrap her in to take her into the back. Truly they are wonderful. I can at least say they have extended my time with the love of my life/soulmate by at least one night so far, and have her as comfortable as they can. Hopefully, they can help us have many more nights when her blood comes back. Thank You to everyone who was on staff today. It felt good to feel cared for. Definitely our new vet and have already recommended them to friends. Sasha E.2021-05-13 Dr. Lloyd and the entire staff at Live Oak are absolutely wonderful. Our beloved cat was very sick with cancer and they were all so kind and helpful during such a tough time in our little girl's life. They were so patient with my many calls and questions during the course of our baby's illness and really went the extra mile for us at every opportunity. Unfortunately, our little girl didn't make it, but it was such a comfort knowing she had such good caretakers, and Dr. Lloyd was even there when the day finally came to help her cross the rainbow bridge. It's so hard finding people we can trust with our little family members, but these guys are it. I continue to be thankful for this team and would recommend them every time. It should be noted that our little girl could be very nervous around strangers and they handled her with care and patience. Chuck C.2020-07-30 Always the best care for our little girl Rusti - have used Dr. Llyod and her team for years and are very happy to have her keeping our baby healthy! Betty P.2018-12-18 We LOVE Live Oak and Dr. Lloyd! I took our Welsh Terrier, Noki, to Live Oak a couple of years ago when she was having skin issues when we were at Atlantic Beach for the summer (referred by another Welsh owner) and we were so impressed by the attention and care received there. We live in FL 8 months of the year, but summer at Atlantic Beach and will be at there permanently in a few years; we have Dr. Lloyd (she's the BEST) as our regular vet now, coordinating Noki's checkups and wellness care with our trips to NC from FL. Highly recommend this practice! Laurie D.2017-06-13 I have used Live Oak for many years and have always found Dr Lloyd and her staff to be very knowledgeable and ready to go over and above to help. They are wonderful at explaining things so a layman can understand and patient too. My dog loves to go see his friends there and get a treat! I find her prices to be very reasonable and the online store is great and easy to use. Laurie D Elizabeth L.2016-07-30 We were on vacation at Harkers Island when our Diesel became extremely ill. As my dogs are my children I wanted the best emergency care I could find. After several unfortunate reviews of some closer places to us, we came across Live Oak Animal Hospital. My boyfriend called and spoke with the receptionist and an appointment was scheduled later that day for 3 because the vet had a couple procedures to do that morning. Not even an hour later we received a call that said the vet wanted to see us now and to come as soon as we could. This meant she pushed her other procedures back JUST SO SHE COULD SEE US IMMEDIATELY. That was extremely impressive to me. When we arrived you could see the despair on my face and he vet as well as the staff were so kind and helped put my mind at ease, as Diesel has never been sick like this before. After going into our room and filling out paperwork the vet was in the room with us within 5 minutes(SHORTEST WAIT TIME EVER!). She immediately took control of the situation without making me feel ridiculous or shutting me out. She was very personable, relatable, and discussed things with me so that I understood what she was talking about. Our entire visit lasted around 2 hours and by the time we left I could already tell Diesel was feeling a little better. The price was extremely reasonable for an emergency visit and all the things that D needed done. We are so thankful to have come across this wonderful family at Live Oak and will continue to use them as our vet needs when we are at the beach! Thank you so much Live Oak family for making us feel safe and at home, while away from home! Dustin B.2016-01-13 My family and myself have used live oak veterinary hospital for years and wouldn't go anywhere else! Susan and her entire staff take excellent care of our three dogs as well as explaining things to you in a way we can better understand what is going on. The office and exam rooms are clean. The prices are also very reasonable and affordable. If your looking for a great place to take your pets give them a call, highly recommended!
